The 1st Aseer Region Nursing Simulation Conference is a regional nursing education capacity-building initiative on Nursing Simulation. Nursing education started in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in 1948. Historically, initial nursing programs started in technical education, leading to the establishment of nursing as a profession in the MOH in 1954, followed by the first official nursing school four years later. It has gone through various transformations, and the profession is still undergoing a stage of development. These developments led to the birth of nursing simulation, a subset of healthcare simulation, was introduced as an effective tool to provide a transformational learning experience for all nursing students and provide diverse perspectives on caring for patients across the continuum of care. In addition, these instituted appropriate and effective technology in providing fidelity simulation-based training, which has been the ever-present educational methodology in today's nursing education landscape. The Aseer Region Nursing Simulation Conference (ARNSC), with its theme "On Track Nursing Educational Practices: Key to provide Experiential Learning on Real-Life Clinical Situations." aims to showcase the current synergy of nursing education and simulation in the Aseer Region and nearby provinces in Saudi Arabia. The ARNSC 2024 theme reflects the nursing education and practical implications of simulation. With the increasing demand for continuing professional education, this conference will highlight the innovations and technological advancement, diversity, and best practices within the simulation context. This conference is open to students, educators, practitioners, researchers, and academicians.
